Do lemon trees have thorns?

Grafted lemon trees have small thorns, however, seedling lemons have bigger thorns, and water suckers, growing from the trunk have the biggest thorns.

Care must be taken when pruning these water suckers, make sure they are removed to a waste bin, do not compost them, they can penetrate deeply when stood on.
